What to Expect during your CoolSculpting Appointment

CoolSculpting is a great way that you can reduce fat in areas of your body that are difficult to remove with diet and exercise alone. CoolSculpting can help you tone up areas with excess fat such as under the neck, the stomach, thighs, or elsewhere. What should you expect during a CoolSculpting appointment?

The Consultation

Your first step to receiving CoolSculpting treatments is consulting with our licensed physician to see if you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting. Not everyone is ideal for CoolSculpting treatments, and some patients may have troublesome areas that can be better treated with other methods. Dr. Zelinger will consult with you over your concerns and make recommendations that will provide you the best results.

You may also have questions you want to ask during your CoolSculpting consultation. We will gladly answer any and all questions you may have at your consultation, however many questions are covered in length on our CoolSculpting page. Feel free to review our CoolSculpting page for any questions you may have prior to your appointment.

The Appointment

Your actual CoolSculpting appointment will be pretty straightforward. CoolSculpting is performed by applying a contouring device that suctions and applies cold temperatures to the fat cells. Since CoolSculpting is non-invasive, it’s generally considered to be a comfortable treatment. No anaesthesia is needed. CoolSculpting can be performed within a couple of hours, with CoolSculpting mini generally taking about an hour per cycle to perform. After the appointment is complete, you can go back to your normal activities without any downtime.

After Your Appointment

You can sometimes begin to see results within one month of treatment, however most results are expected to be visible after three months.(*) Individual patient results will vary. CoolSculpting can reduce up to 20% of fat in the selected area (*) with individual results varying. Results can be long-lasting. You may even choose to apply CoolSculpting to more areas of fat around your body given the ease of a CoolSculpting treatment.
