Spring is here! So is your Spring Skincare Routine

If you take care of your skin, you probably know the importance of changing up your skin care routine based on the seasons. You don’t want to be over-hydrating your skin based on winter’s dryness in the middle of summer when it’s hot and humid out. When spring is here, what should you do to modify your skin care routine?

Get rid of winter skin

Start out by scrubbing away dead, old winter skin. Use a scrub to take away the dry layer of winter skin and refresh your skin underneath to get ready for spring. Use an exfoliator to remove the old skin to prepare for a beautiful, glowing layer of skin instead.

Use Sunscreen

When going outside it might be easy to forget putting on sunscreen, but remember that these spring days will quickly turn to summer, and the glaring sun can not only dry out your skin, it can also damage it. The sun feels nice and warm on your skin but you might not realize just how damaging it can be. Put on sunscreen before heading out for the day — especially if you plan on spending a lot of time outside, like gardening.

Use eye creme

Since spring time marks when it’s a lot brighter out, people are more prone to start squinting, especially going indoors to outdoors and vice versa. To try to minimize wrinkles around the eyes, make sure to use an eye creme as part of your skin care routine for the spring.

Moisturize

You may have been doing this in the winter as well, but it’s also important to moisturize in the spring and summer as well. Keep an eye out for moisturizers that also have SPF benefits included, making your skin care routine even easier to keep up with!
