Ultherapy®

Woman with Smooth Skin

What does Ultherapy do?

Ultherapy® stimulates collagen through the use of ultrasound technology. Ultherapy® stimulates the production of new collagen. This procedure gives you a lift by tightening the skin with little to no down time*.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy® uses ultrasound waves that travel under the skin’s surface to activate new collagen growth. Collagen is what keeps the skin tight and youthful. Ultherapy® stimulates the growth of new collagen*. The new collagen plumps and lifts the skin*.

Does Ultherapy hurt?

Dr. Evan Zelinger will make sure that you are comfortable. Premedicating with pain medication is not always necessary but is an option for your comfort. During the procedure you may feel some discomfort. After the treatment is completed, the treated areas may be sore to the touch.

Is Ultherapy safe?

Ultrasound technology has been used for over 50 years. Ultherapy® was FDA cleared in 2009. In addition, Ultherapy® has over 200,000 safely performed treatments around the world.

How long after Ultherapy will I see results?

Results vary based on each patient*. Some results have been seen in just one month*. On average most people require 3–6 months to achieve maximum results*.

How long does Ultherapy last?

The improvements you achieve from Ultherapy® will last but your natural aging process will eventually continue. You may repeat the procedure to further enhance your results anywhere between 1–5 years*.

Surgical Facelift vs. Non-invasive Ultherapy

If you are not ready for a surgical facelift or have had a facelift and would like to enhance your results then Ultherapy® is the answer for you*. It’s a procedure that stimulates the generation of new collagen to lift and tighten skin because the aging process will cause your skin to loose elasticity over time*. Ultherapy® will renew your elasticity to help fight the effects of gravity and give you a natural looking lift*. A surgical facelift will not address the quality or fullness of your skin. Ultherapy® is the only procedure that will lift, tighten, and increase the collagen thickness of your skin, giving you a tighter, fuller look*.

What are the side effects of Ultherapy?

The areas treated may be slightly red after the procedure for up to an hour*. Some will experience minimal swelling and treated areas maybe sore to the touch for several days after the procedure*.

Who performs the Ultherapy procedure?

At Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center only Dr. Evan Zelinger performs Ultherapy®. Dr. Zelinger’s practice is exclusively devoted to non-invasive, non-surgical, technologically based cosmetic medical procedures since 2005. Dr. Evan Zelinger is a fully licensed physician and surgeon in the state of Pennsylvania.
