Liposonix: Custom Contouring for your Beach Body!

If you are interested in obtaining more information, please give our office a call at (215) 366-1122.

Despite crazy occurrences, like snow in the middle of April, there is one thing that is on almost everyone’s mind: looking and feeling confident in a bathing suit in just about a month. For many, surgical liposuction just isn’t an option — what with both cost and downtime not being something they can afford. At Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center, we are proud to offer our patients (both current and prospective) solutions for fat reduction that better fit wallets and lifestyles. Our solutions vary greatly in both how they are effective, and who they are effective for. If you’ve looked into Coolsculpting, or you’ve had your free Coolsculpting consult with Dr. Evan Zelinger, and it just doesn’t seem like the right solution for you — then, most likely, it’s time for you to look into Liposonix*.

Liposonix is a non-surgical, non-invasive fat reduction solution expertly performed by Dr. Evan Zelinger in the greater Philadelphia area. It works by targeting fat, and successfully eliminating it, using high-intensity, focused ultrasound energy waves.

After your free Liposonix consult with Dr. Evan Zelinger, you can go forth with a Liposonix treatment plan. The treatment itself can be uncomfortable — patients have reported a bevy of sensations — tingling, prickling, warmth, and cold sensations. Generally, however, these sensations are not too intense — if you deem any of this too potentially uncomfortable for you, Dr. Evan Zelinger can prescribe medications to ease you into the treatment process. Regardless of how you choose to go about the treatment process, rest assured that it does not take long — typically, a Liposonix treatment takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes, much less than surgical liposuction — and you’ll be awake for the entirety of the procedure, no need for anesthesia*.

After the Liposonix procedure, you can expect to have some discomfort and pain. Liposonix patients have reported bruising, redness, and swelling of the areas that have been treated*. That being said, these effects are generally very mild — and again, much less intense than what one would experience having undergone surgical liposuction*. Resuming your day-to-day after a Liposonix fat reduction treatment is fairly easy, and does not take long to successfully do.

As for the fat reduction results themselves, a viable Liposonix candidate (we’ll get into who could be considered a candidate for the procedure very soon) that chooses to undergo the non-surgical, non-invasive fat reduction procedure can expect changes to occur over an 8 to 12 week period, following the procedure*. Over the course of this time period, the effects of the treatment will cause the body to naturally process and remove the fat cells that were destroyed by the Liposonix procedure*. The result? A sleeker, slimmer you; ready to take on the sand and shore.

As mentioned above, unfortunately, not everyone can be a candidate for Liposonix. Liposonix is not a treatment to cure obesity, or eliminate excessively large areas of unwanted fat. However, if you have dieted and exercised to your limit, and are mere (probably literal) inches from attaining your body shape goals, Liposonix could very well be for you — it is the perfect non-invasive, non-surgical fat reduction solution for eliminating the last remnants of stubborn fat*. A good rule of thumb to determine whether or not you could be a candidate for Liposonix is to pinch the area in which you desire the treatment, and if you are able to “pinch an inch” of fat in said area, you very well could be on your way to reaching your fat reduction and beach body goals.

Of course, there is no way to surely tell whether or not you will find an effective fat reduction treatment with Liposonix, unless you come for a free Liposonix consult with Dr. Evan Zelinger at Abington Aesthetic & Laser Medical Center. We look forward to meeting the “new” you this summer!
