I Want to Reduce Fat

Though working out and eating right have been tried and true methods for reducing fat and improving overall health and appearance, some areas of the body are just plain resistant to these techniques. Fat deposits on the hips, thighs, stomach, buttocks, and the back of the biceps are notoriously stubborn, and sometimes clients need a little bit of help to achieve the look they want. Fortunately, there are a variety of fat reducing procedures that can help to smooth out bulging fat and shape your problem areas into a more pleasing, confidence-building appearance*.

The Problem with Fat Removal

For years, the standard for helping clients deal with unwanted fat has been to remove it. Liposuction and plastic surgery are the top methods. However, recovery from these techniques tends to be painful and long-lasting, and both have many associated risks. That’s why at Abington Aesthetic, we offer some non-invasive techniques.

Fat Reduction vs. Fat Removal

With new advances in medical technology, methods for reducing fat are non-invasive, quicker to heal, and safer to use. These techniques seek to attack the fat cells from the outside, rather than removing it through surgery, which can be very painful. Two popular, non-invasive fat reduction techniques include:

  • CoolSculpting: also known as Cryolipolysis, destroys fat cells by freezing them over the course of several weeks. This process causes the cells to crystalize and die, allowing the body to slowly absorb them*.
  • Emsculpt: Emsculpt is a non-invasive procedure that can help you build muscle and tone your body while eliminating fat*. Using a special method of non-invasive high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy, Emsculpt induces powerful muscle contractions in targeted muscle groups that are not normally achievable through voluntary movement.

All three are great techniques for those who are at or near peak fitness, but still need a little help to get rid of those last lingering areas of fat. Both fat reduction techniques are reported to cause zero to mild discomfort, while causing far less lingering pain than surgery or suction. None are meant as treatments for obesity, but rather can help to conquer those last lingering patches of fat that are standing between you and your desired appearance.

Another fat reduction technique we offer is Kybella, an injectable, specifically designed for small pockets such as a “double chin”.
